About OG Preview

OG Preview is a free tool for web developers and marketers to check how a link will look when shared on X/Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and how it appears in Google search results. It also validates your Open Graph tags and generates copy-paste-ready meta tags.

How it works

When you enter a URL, our server fetches the page’s HTML, extracts its Open Graph (og:*), Twitter Card (twitter:*) and basic meta tags, and measures the dimensions of the preview image. Everything is rendered back to you with pass/warn/fail validation against common platform guidelines.

Privacy

• We fetch only the HTML of the URL you submit, plus the header bytes of its preview image.
• We do not store the content of the pages you check beyond what is needed for rate-limiting.
• Preview results are approximations; actual appearance may vary by platform and over time.

Limits

To keep the service available for everyone, requests are rate-limited per IP address. Only public http/https URLs can be checked.
